We have had first walker high top shoes before and this is our second pair. The velcro is easy to use and lasts well, it helps to easily open the shoe right up if the little foot isn't super strong at pushing in place to get them on. The materials are easy care and again last really well, the sole have good grip and sliding on smooth surfaces hasn't been an issue. I think these shoes are worth the extra $ for peace of mind of a secure supportive shoe and reliable durability.
